A General Description of ConvertXtoDVD

Beneath the plain exterior, it is powerful and professional. It is a DVD authoring tool that able to burn different formats of video (including regular videos and ISO image files) to DVD disc or ISO/DVD folder. The process of burning a DVD can be divided into 3 main steps: 1. add your video; 2. edit your project if needed; 3. click on convert.

If you want to edit your project, ConvertXtoDVD enables you to do a lot of manual setup such as to customize the video chapters, audio tracks, every element on the DVD menu pages, output formats, encoding .etc. This program is very easy to get going but takes some time to master.

Rich Subtitle Burning Options (Multiple Subtitles, Forced Subtitle, Embed Subtitle)

ConvertXtoDVD is good at burning video with multiple subtitles to a DVD disc. When you import a video to this program with soft subtitles, it will detect all of them and the subtitle streams will show up in the Subtitle tab. You can also click the + button to add external subtitle streams. ConvertXtoDVD supports a dozen subtitle formats like SRT, SUB, ASS, SSA, PGS and more. Click on the … icon on the right to access the subtitle settings.

“Font settings” enables font, color, and size editing of SRT files only and ASS/SSA files with one style only. Because other subtitles already have their styles pre-defined and cannot be edited. “Advanced settings” is to change the subtitle track name displayed in menus, the subtitle track language identifier, the offset value, and the subtitle position. If you have checked “Set as default for playback”, this subtitle will be set as the forced subtitle. “Embed this subtitle into video” means to change the subtitle from soft code subtitle to hard code subtitle.

Build a DVD Menu Model that Suit the User’s Needs

Click on “Edit Menu” after you have imported and edited the video. You can create a new theme or use an existing theme. Create a new theme that means DIY a DVD menu that absolutely meets your needs. It offers many options to edit the root menu settings and individual page settings.
